I'd consult the SCRA
Heres a link to a basic overview. https://myarmybenefits.us.army.mil/Benefit-Library/Federal-Benefits/Servicemembers-Civil-Relief-Act-(SCRA)?serv=120

Consult your legal office and be candid with your landlord about what you feel is in violation of the SCRA

NO. Period.
Any service member is covered under USC and the Soldier’s & Sailor’s Relief Act.
Local municipal code and law does not supersede Federal Law. This is also covered under Federal Predatory Lending Regulations.
Anyone being victimized by this type of behavior should immediately contact their Jag or PMO, CID, NIS.... through their chain of command. We had many local rental agencies, private renters attempt to pull this crap at Camp Lejeune. They soon found theirselves banned from renting to any military or spouses, in addition to state and federal charges.

So just for my own education, because I was never in the reserves, what is "title 10 orders"? I know it might make me sound like a Noob and all but to heck with it. LOL

SGT Ben Keen Title 10 relates to the dollars associated with AD activities that SSG(P) (Join to see) describes. Title 32 is RC dollars. Active duty associate duty with active duty periods pursuant to the Governor's orders and NOT a federalized mobilization is referred to as State Active Duty aka SAD.

I was always under the impression that Title 32 covered the National Guard under state control and Title 10 Covered the Active Component, Reserve, and federalized NG personnel.

SSG (Join to see) - when I took the DSCA course, they were cagey about whether Title 32 was all State money. They danced around it like "it could be both". RC, Reserve Component is both ARNG and Army Reserve.
