Candidly, where ever gets you in the queue for command. Big post: Bragg, Carson, Drum, Riley, etc. Don't you have to go through the new market place and talent management process?

I have a few friends who took DAC jobs in the Huntsville, AL. They seem to like the area. Mild climate and military friendly communities. It's a major Army AMC location plus some of AMC's component commands.
I live near Scott AFB, home of SDDC and USTRANSCOM. I like it here. The climate is Midwest with four distinct seasons. The AFB has very good housing and facilities (no surprise). St Louis is about 30 min drive and has many types of entertainment.
As a transportation officer, you might want to consider Ft Eustis or some of the SDDC port Battalions. I liked being stationed at Langley AFB (just down the road from Eustis). Mild climate, lots of historical places to visit, and military friendly communities. SDDC port Battalions are located in several places along the East, Gulf, and West coasts. Normally a LTC Commands, but there are only about 30 military and DAC in the BN. Some jobs for Captains.

I guess that would depend on what you're looking to do, Sir. What kinds of challenges. What types of logistics.
