Thanks for sharing this story, SGT Jim Z.. In the video, they mention Bednarik's military service in passing, but I see it as a part of who he was. Very nice video on his life and legend. That was in the days before the ungodly salaries for pro athletes, so Bednarik went on to sell concrete after his pro football career. I think he is the definition of a "salt-of-the-earth" kind of all American guy.
