Can anyone tell me how to get DFAS and VA to pay me the money they owe me. Steps I have taken so far.(1) Have called both of them and have been told VA did not forward the paperwork to DFAS, (2) Same came from DFAS (3) Have talked with state reps no answer.

I would suggest you contact either the DAV, American Legion, or VFW for assistance. I tend to lean in the direction of the DAV. All these organizations seek to aid soldiers and are excellent sources to point you in the correct direction should they not be able to help you directly.

try your state VA. I have a state VA rep who handles my claims. he is damn good

I am assuming either backpay or increase in payment rate. Normally there is a delay in the sending of information. Call again to the VA to verify the information and have them submit a request for you. This can move your paperwork forward thus getting you payment in two weeks.

Okay, if that is the case ask DFAS for more information and a timeline as to when it can be done. You may have to get a representative involved most states have them for disability compensation and their services are free. SFC Tom Jones
