Looks like a great program. I'd like to retire outside of Fort Campbell (on KY Lake) and would really like to give back to our Soldiers in the WTU by taking them fishing (for absolutely no charge)....I truly believe getting our injured Soldiers on the water (in the fresh air) combining hand/eye coordination of fishing as well as the serenity of the water will do wonders to help our Soldiers heal.

I look forward to the day when I can do this for our Veterans 2LT Tom Waters. I truly believe it can help tremendously by being outdoors and engaging the mind, body and spirit to help our Veterans become Physically, Mentally and Emotionally fit.

Great story, SGT Jim Z.. Thanks for sharing it. I think it's wonderful that Vietnam veterans (and others) are giving back to younger vets. I don't exactly know why, but that makes me feel good. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that we all signed up to serve our country. There are many ways to do that, and this one of them. And, we're a very large family of brothers and sisters who have all manner of experiences. The wounded (Purple Heart recipients) are one sub-set of that group. I think it is positively super that Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing was started and is helping hurting veterans.

Thanks for sharing yet another story of good news about veterans!

CW5 (Join to see) you are welcome and as you know I like to find the off the beaten path stories to highlight. I also saw this story as a way to show that Vietnam veterans are not treating today's veterans they way they were treated.
