Our leadership is always saying that if you cross the line in the sand there will be consequences. Shouldn't they be held accountable for crossing the line when it comes to allowing their not living up to the "promises" they made before being elected? It seems that the current administration is doing everything they can to destroy our great nation, something that the Japanese, tried to do during WWII, and the terrorists of 9/11 both tried to do and failed. Is there any way to stop the nations downward spiral?

I eagerly await the responses.

First and foremost, I have never understood the military's need to draw lines in, pound on or name hills after me? Really? I know I have an opinion and I have not been too afraid to voice it but I have yet to see anyone else be called out or have threats made against them? :) (If you are lost by this comment read my last name again).

To the questions...without drawing lines in me...should our leaders be held accountable? Yes. Will they be? No. Who is to blame? The American public with special heaping of disdain placed upon the Fourth Estate for their failing and a good slap across the face for educators for failing to inform the current generation that they are the government. We are a Republic, not a Democracy and most people, but especially the majority of those just out of school do not even realize what that means or why it is important.

I believe you are right. So next year when the elections come around again, well, lets just say that I am voting for me. Not CPL C. Brown, I am voting for me. May I suggest you ask others to vote for me as well. That way no one will be president! NONE OF THE ABOVE!!!

The only problem with this is that instead of bad we get worse, unless we can convince enough people so that we get President Brown?

No, no, no. If everyone in this country who walks into a voting booth and writes in "me" in the write in section then no one will be president. I don't want the job.

Listen SPC Charles Brown

We need a person who did not want the job elected. No one who wants to be President should be allowed to run.

Jan 20, 2017 is the line in the sand. I know that doesn't say much, but the members of our political machine apparently feel they are above the rhetoric they spout. Our lawmakers at the state and federal level are allowed to fail the voters - miserably at times (John Boehner) - because there is no alternative to our electoral system. The first words out of everyone's mouth are, "Well, we voted for them" In some cases yes we did, but when they fail, we have no choice but to wait until their term is up to vote them out. How our current oval office occupant ever made a second term is beyond me - I didn't vote for him.

At the state level, look at the people that are getting voted in. Our last 2 governors barely made 33% of the vote - what does that tell you?? 2/3 of the people didn't vote for them but they had the majority of votes.

In RI apparently our congressional representatives do almost nothing, yet that is seen as a positive so they keep getting voted into office, despite having opposing candidates - especially since the incumbent are all democrats. RI hates republicans for some strange reason, which though I am not a republican, my vote never seams to count because I generally vote for the other guy.

Then the biggest factor of all - money. You ain't got it, you ain't gonna get elected and ain't nothing anyone is gonna do about it. Money elects politicians into office, not votes. Once they are there, barring a self induced scandal, good luck getting them out.

Sir,

November 8, 2016 will be another day where the American people or force to decide between Bad and Worse, and a majority of the people will pull a lever because it has an R or D next to it and have no idea about the person they are voting for. Could this change? Sure, but without something horrific taking place it will not. 23.1% of our Countrymen...or more...have a vested interest in growing the government, so more people can be economic slaves to our system. We fought a war in our Nation's history to end slavery, and now we have a government that tries to seduce as many as possible into economic slavery and perpetuate it by allowing the slaves to vote as a block?

I know this isn't EXACTLY what we're talking about, SPC Charles Brown, but I think there's relevancy here.

Whenever I hear this administration talking about "lines"... this VERY OLD Robin Williams routine comes to mind. Stick around for the last few seconds. That's where the fun is...
