A crystal ball was not needed to see this coming. They weren't ready when we left, they aren't ready now, and they won't be ready in a month or two. The announcement of the assault was a political announcement, nothing more.

To Congress/Pentagon: ............for $300,000,000 (TAX FREE) & the free use of all necessary (ongoing) supplies (ground per general OIF protocols ) & basic support (above), I could have an "overly qualified" team from all necessary SOCOM specialties of capable experience, readiness & in place loading into C-17s at Ft. Bragg by 7 days from today. My team would EASILY take back Mosul (within 7 days) & then move on to the next city......if paid $300 MIL for EACH CITY. Instead of debating this to death, let me form the team now & be ready in 7 days.......no exaggeration........their seems to be ZERO "Leadership" at the top of all levels of our nation right now. Patton once said, " Lead me, let me lead you or get the hell out of the way!" ......we have nobody even close to Patton today in the upper leadership levels. Most of the TRUE "Leaders" that I know in the DOD & in Congress are NO HIGHER IN RANK THAN LT. COL/SMSgt. ..........Seriously, I can form this militia/Mercenary Group to do the work that our DOD (+ 15 other countries) SHOULD be doing in less than 7 days IF GUARANTEED THE MONEY. Unfortunately, I was wounded in Iraq & again at the hands of Incompetence/BS at the Miami, VA.....so I would have to organize, develop the plan & set it in motion without myself in the fights (YES, it does piss me off).........but I have enough of our best folks who respect me enough to trust my judgement. It only takes the desire & a relatively small amount of money in the broad scheme of things. Pentagon leaders should consider........now is the time......give me the reins. Maj. J. Pollock, USAF/SOCOM (Ret.), OIF Vet x 2, PROUD CHRISTIAN PATRIOT !
