What is 31E work like? Do you learn any valuable skills?

Sgt (Join to see) LTC Jason Mackay OK... so, for active Military Police we have 4 MOS's. 31B which is a regular MP - the vast majority of MPs. 31K which is a dog handler. 31D which is a Criminal (felony) Investigator. 31E are our correction specialists, or officially internment and resettlement specialists. They operate our military confinement facilities, and act as technical advisors on establishing and operating detainee facilities when deployed. 31B is a largest group doing the main missions of the Military Police Regiment - Maneuver and mobility support operations (reconnaissance and surveillance), Area security operations (site security and response), Law & order operations (law enforcement and developing host-nation police forces), Internment/resettlement operations (military prisoners and enemy combatants), and Police intelligence operations. Marine MPs perform similar functions.

On a more serious side.
MP - Their primary function METL Tasks can be described as "Area Security" duties for Unit, Property and Individual Security. They also have as their secondary duties, tasks that are the primary duties of Cavalry and Engineers
For Cavalry METL secondaries they do guide, clearance and out-posting (for security) of routes.
In Engineer METL secondaries they do bridge, passage point, target and brigandage security.
