Should we really be propping up the Shia Government in Iraq, and their Iranian Masters?

We have already been in a proxy war with the Iranians Kuds force and their provisioning of the Shiite Militias with their EFPs, does anyone really think we will not have to deal with Iranian terrorism and sponsored acts of war crimes and crimes against humanity they are committing as well as the Shiite Militias under their influence once ISIS is neutralized? This is good article at explaining how their are few "good" guys in Iraq/Syria, and only a set of bad and less bad choices in front of us, for American Foreign Policy in Iraq going foward.

Well Iran has been a sponsor of terrorism since the fall of the Shah in 1979. Yes I believe that the two factions of Islam need to put aside their difference but that will not happen. I like the option of just letting them duke it out amongst themselves. Deploy troops around Iraq and Iran for security measures and let them fight it to the death and then once that happens try to rebuild the countries.

I agree, Capt Lance Gallardo. The more I read about this battle and the ISIS phenomenon, the more I see it as a Sunni/Shiite issue. It's hard for us to take sides because nobody wins when we do that. ISIS is evil, there's no doubt about that. They're Sunnis. And Iran does not have any good will (at all) for the USA (they're Shiites). We are in a can't win situation when it comes to that fight. Maybe we should step back and watch the two sides duke it out. That's at least an option.
