SPC (Join to see) Please attend every school / course you can wiggle your way into. Not just for the 35F MOS, but for your own knowledge base. Do al you can while you are able to: while family free - in your youth - while you have time - for the experience - and above all, your can-do and self confidence!

From my admittedly dated experience what you do as an analyst will depend a lot on the type of unit you are in. An S-2 in an infantry battalion is not going to be doing the same type of work as someone in a division level intelligence battalion. So your experience may vary.
I'm going to give what may be an unconventional answer to this. If you have not done so before I would take a course in formal logic. Another very useful skill will be in report writing. Taking a business writing class may be very useful.

Get a copy of the most recent foundry and go through and make a list of all the courses you want and can go to within rank and MOS. Take the numbers and names to your NCOIC to get them into those courses.
