I know, I know service life and cost but seriously why aren't suppressors used in CQC?

They should be. It's probably cheaper than paying for tinnitus and such. Also it makes tactical sense.

A thought- Suppressors work by deflecting or trapping escaping gases form the round. This normally slows the speed of the round down, affecting range and accuracy. Agree it would work wonders in clearing houses, but they are lousy for long shots.

CPL Shannon Minor
Negatory SGM a properly designed suppressor has very minimal effect on long range accuracy and I have personally seen a Barrett 50 BMG suppressed make a 3 shot 6” group at 1000 meters. Suppressors have come a long way over the years.
