Should RallyPoint Members be required to supply at least one verifable part of the identity?

How can a person be verified if they have not identity? At least photo or a last name.
See survey below

I get a bad feeling sometimes.

RP verification requirements are more stringent than any other social network. Un-verified members' access is pretty limited.

MAJ (Join to see) some people probably just want to reduce how much they're sharing. The verification I meant comes through documentation to RP staff, not through complete exposure of ones' info on a profile. LTC Yinon Weiss has shown examples of what un-verified members see when they view verified member's profiles, and it's pretty limited. It's been suggested that adding a function to our profiles 'view as' then 'verified member' or 'un-verified member' or 'contact' (like linked in does) so members could see for themselves how much of their info is available could be useful.

This is the ONLY social media account of any type that I have and I only have it because of the verification procedures. With that being said, I would never submit any type of identification other than verifying through a .mil email address. Nothing against the admin staff of RP, but I'd rather be safe than sorry.

Okay I just took this screen capture and I know for fact there is not a VADM Bubble McButt on the roles. So I ask how are these profiles approved?

I feel as though I know so little about RP when I hear of features like this. Where is this profile bank with the little blue flag option? :)

CMSgt (Join to see) , when you visit a profile page, there is a little flag you can click on if you think it is bogus.

Oh, I see. I thought there was a general list format where you can scroll through profiles. Thank you for that.

I saw a guy a few days ago listed as a former SMA - and I promise you - that dude was not on the list.
