What has been your favorite duty assignment (CONUS or OCONUS) and why?

For location, my favorite assignment was US Army Alaska, Joint Base Elmendorf Richardson. Alaska is a great place to live. For people, it would be a tie between Korea and Hawaii. Met some great, life-long people in both places and many from different cultures.

One of my favorites was being stationed at Kadena AB, Okinawa. The Squadron I was assigned to was professional and the location was beautiful, not to mention that I had two children born on the island.
Another obvious favorite is being stationed at Hickam AB, Hawaii. I worked 2230 - 0830, had a standing tee time at the Par 3 golf course at 0900. I loved being able to hear the stories from the Veterans after our round was over, having drinks at the 10th Puka(hole) Bar and making it to bed by 1300hrs...doing it all over again the next day :)
