I went though Fort Bliss CRC back in February of 2014. It was staffed by national guard personnel. It’s a week long process which was very organized. Usually everything is hurry up and wait.... that week everything was planned and very little of my time was wasted. I was very impressed. If you have specific questions, I’ll be more than glad to assist.

I was there just last year and I concur, very well oiled machine....as long as your situation is “cookie cutter”. If you are going somewhere that they don’t send a lot of people or if you are asking to draw or not draw equipment that is unusual for your destination (or their little check sheet), prepare to do battle. If something does not sound right, continue to ask questions until you or they completely understand. If you complete all of your online training prior to arrival, your time there will be much more pleasant. Make sure your hand receipt is correct BEFORE leaving CIF.
Expect to be in a room with 3 or 4 strangers. My room and bathroom were filthy (and my standards are pretty low). Due to a guy who had been held up there for about 4 or 5 weeks waiting on some documentation before he could deploy....the cleaning folks come by once a week and he had been turning them away every time. I still don’t understand how grown folks live like that. Another cat in my room wore a CPAP that made a lot of noise and the other would come and go several times a night and slam the door.....I didn’t get much sleep.

Actually CRC is staffed with Active duty and reserve personal. No national guard works CRC. 5th AR BDE is a crazy operation but it isn't a bad ordeal. The contractors complain 24/7 about everything but usually the green suitors come in and do what they need to do and are gone on the bird on Friday morning.

lol. I worked CRC for a year but I worked with the contractors. The Green suitors is easy pezy you do your online courses before you even get there, Go through medical, sit through the mandatory classes FORSCOM puts out and are gone.

The Behavioral Health section is so slow, 3-4 hours to wait. They aren’t very professional looking. They honestly probably stop more reporting by the amount of time they take to see people coming through their station. They kept leaving and coming back, I was disappointed that it took as long as it did. I feel it was a set back for the behavioral health department as a whole.
