It’s been a while since I’ve been on here. I retired after 20 years in 2017. Moved to Asia as a contractor, and did the “retirement” thing where I grew a beard and grew a beer belly. Then I joined the Dragon Boat team here. And now I’ve finally completed my first Spartan Race. Unfortunately, I don’t feel as motivated to workout all the time. So, vets and retirees, what motivates you to push yourselves physically?

“She who must be obeyed “ seriously though ,my better half has endured bouts with cancer, knee replacements ,hip replacement and still does daily walks, gym sessions and takes care of this old fool,I would be ashamed not to at least keep up.

Watching 'My 600lb Life". Seriously, I am so afraid of becoming like them because I know how easy it is to sit on the sofa and mindlessly eat chips or ice cream. I have a lot of weight to lose, but I'm working with my doctor (thyroid issues) and a personal trainer to help me reach my goals.

SSG (Join to see) walking my daughters down the aisle and staying alive. Gained like 25 pounds that won't come off.
