SPC (Join to see) as a BSB SPO in the 101st, my BSB 89As worked closely with he SPO and Division tracking old open documents and working with BNs on closing them. They'd provide technical expertise. We occasionally helped run AHAs. If I remember right, our ASP had an adjacent AHA that units would draw and then put their munitions in while doing ranges, live fires etc.
We got down range 2008-2009, they ran an AHA that eventually grew into an ASP. It was at that exact moment that peace time accountability was placed on OEF units. We spent the deployment accounting for things and retrograding dunnage, retrograding useless items, and chasing consumption reports as each company Commander had an OPerational Load on the their property book.
Some Divisions may elect to consolidate 89As at the ASP. The Sustainment Brigades had a supervisory relationship via the SPO/DMRC (if so organized) because the CSSB Ammunition Company is a subordinate unit and usually had a Mag Platoon running the ASP while the rest of the unit supported missions.

Sir I really appreciate that. That was extremely useful information. I’m more of an admin person and that’s exactly what it seems like what I’ll be doing . I’m currently an engineer and the job very early wasn’t interesting to me, but being an 89A seems like the right fit for me

SPC (Join to see) - you have a lot in common with 92A and 92Y, then there is the actual procedures in an ASP or AHA with accountability, especially when the numbers don't add up, then you are into 581s and Mag cards to figure out it was Colonel Mustard in the Observatory with the candle stick.

SPC (Join to see) - the general idea is that BSBs aren't holding ammunition, rather just a stutter step in pushing the munitions to the firing units in the form of first and second operational loads. Flatracks on PLS and LHS systems and where they are will be important to you. Reality they can't move it all. Stuff breaks down. Things collect.

Eight hat being said I’ve heard security’s AHAs had ASPs are very tight no phones for example will that be my job to also I force that also will it be my job to make sure no one is actually sneaking around I know that sounds like a common sense question but it seems I’ll have a lot of admin work to do ...to make sure on paper everything is acccounted forLTC Jason Mackay

Don't know we never had 89A at the Bde level, most were Div/Post and higher.

This is a really broad question. As the name implies, BSBs support the brigade. This is where the brigade’s main medical, maintenance, fuel and transportation companies sit. Typical, elements of all of these companies are embedded with the line units. My experience is mostly with the medical side of BSBs.
Maybe if you clarify a bit more others can know how to answer your question more throughly.

I mean I’ve been told as a soon to be 89A Ammunition Stock Control and account specialist that’s where I’ll most likely end up.. can you give me specific details about BSB.. like what do they do during garrison and on deployments ..sorry I can’t give anything more specific

I don’t have any personal experience deploying with a BSB but, from what I hear, they conduct brigade support mission like they would during field training.
In garrison, it will vary based on where you are. In my old BSB, the medical unit would conduct brigade level sick call and those soldiers with unique MOS’s would help staff the clinics. I worked in the dental clinic along with the brigade dentist to help support their mission in exchange for our soldiers being allowed to be seen there.
From what I was of the ammo guys, they would go down to AIPs early to draw rounds for ranges throughout the brigade. They would then run the ammo point at all of our ranges, everything from M9s to 50cal. I would imagine they are responsible for resupplyinh line units that are pushed out when they are down range.
