Hello, can anyone on here tell me what colleges offer free or discounted schooling for military spouses if their husband is a ROTC instructor at that college?

SGT (Join to see) how much choice is your husband going to get on his assignment? They usually pinpoint you to a ROTC Battalion, then they rotate people between the host school, satellites, and cross enrolled schools.

Many schools also have a policy that they don't not extend tuition waivers for employee families for a certain amount of time. My mother worked at a major university in Boston and was not allowed for the first five years. I wasn't able to go there, but my sister attended there for near free (still have some fees and books).

You may want to look into the Yellow Ribbon program. Different schools have voluntarily extended different offers for veterans, active duty , and families. https://www.benefits.va.gov/GIBILL/yellow_ribbon/yrp_list_2018.asp

Thank your for the information Sir! We haven't had any offers yet my husband has a month before he can call branch. This is just something he is interested in doing and has heard that it can come with some great benefits. In the end I still have my GI bill but would love to go to school free and use my GI bill to get my Masters.

SGT (Join to see) - as an example: if you were assigned to the Bay State Battalion, that covered Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Assumption, Fitchburg State University, UMass Lowell, Daniel Webster in NH, and a few other no-see-uhms that were cross enrolled. Another BN covered the 50 odd schools in metro Boston. UMass Amherst had their own program with a few strap hangers from areas schools.

UMass Lowell treated the ROTC Cadre as faculty, any classes they were able to take were limited to them. Sample size one. I think until you find where or at least a range of choices, there is only so much you can do.

What I'm getting from that comment is that some colleges will pay for ROTC cadre tuition but unlikely for them to pay for their spouses education?

SGT (Join to see) - I don't know all colleges and universities, may be there are some out there. I'm just cautioning you that it's not automatic or immediate. I would run the Yellow Ribbon traps first and see what arrangements can be made.

Enough time has passed, but can you share the result. Did you manage to find out something? We have a similar situation and now my wife is doing introductory tasks, one of which turned out to be writing an essay on psychology. We started to research the information and found this source https://sunnypapers.com/paper-samples/psychology/ which had samples of argumentative, persuasive and narrative essays. Thanks to the information received, we were able to better research the topic, and write our own paper.
