Im a 91B specialist and have 2 years 10 months TIS and 1 year TIG. I am promotable. What does the signing the C10 roster do? Do I still have to go to BLC? Or is it an automatic promotion if I hit points?

And SNCO's wonder why junior enlisted don't seek help from them.

You can email me instead of posting your questions to social media... tactfully! I will help you with the fishing pole, so that you can catch your own fish. I am glad that you are at least asking questions and not assuming your assumptions. Keep working hard!! I'll FWD you my email.

SPC (Join to see) respectfully, you previously wrote, “Couldn't find anything online about it.”. That’s the type of comment that drives other NCOs, particularly Senior NCOs, crazy.

If you google, ‘Army C10 Roster’, there is so much information. If you couldn’t find anything online, you either didn’t look, or you don’t know how to ‘online’ very well. As you navigate RP fairly successfully, I’m leaning towards the former.

As you become an NCO, one of the most important traits to acquire is problem solving at the lowest level. Being self sufficient. Being a problem solver. Sure, it’s easy to get on RP and ask, but it’s just as easy to google ‘what’s a c10 roster’, and dig through through the top 20 results. One way, you’re given the answer. The other, you earn the answer. As you become an NCO with needy Privates, you’ll quickly realize what type of Joe you want (and hopefully want to be).

As phrased, your original question demonstrated a complete lack of understanding of a basic NCO function. (As a SGT, you’ll be expected to turn Specialists into Sergeants. And know how to do so). In a response, you demonstrated a seeming lack of effort in attempting to find the answer on your own. Don’t be shocked when some Senior NCOs have given you honest, and to be fair, mild feedback.

In a nutshell, in your described situation, you asked a crazy question. Crazy questions warrant crazy answers.

Best of luck.

Not just that but by your own post you are a SM with 2 years 10 months TIS. I remember vividly when I wasn't even a skeeterwing, our SQL making it perfectly plain that if you had a question, you ask. You first ask your battle buddy. If your battle buddy did not know you asked your SQL. If your SQL did not know then you asked your PLT Sgt and on up the ranks it goes.

SPC (Join to see) You signed something w/o knowing the reason your signature was needed?

Are you interested in real estate or possibly the Brooklyn Bridge?

SSG (Anonymous) Land around California’s Salton Sea is very available. The water is ‘saltier’ that the Pacific Ocean and no longer user friendly.

Most fish cannot survive that salinity.

We went there many times in the past. Even 45 years ago, the wake of our boat would have a reddish cast from the nasty water.

SPC Campbell,

Where is your supervisor soldier? Its ok, I'll help ya!
The C10 roster is simply a verification of promotion points of all those within a unit that are "eligible" for promotion. The C10 roster does not negate any promotion requirements.
Yes BLC is still required to get promoted.
You should do some research before you spout off three questions that may make people think that you are not ready to help someone else in the promotion process, and therefore not ready for promotion yourself.

VR,
SGT Whitaker
