I got discharged from basic 9 months ago due to hip stress fractures . I got cleared from my orthopedic doctor and sent up all my medical documents from Fort Jackson in a med read to Meps . We first sent it ( oct 10) still heard nothing back and then re sent it up (dec 20) My re enlistment code is Re-3 JFV . My med read packet is 50 pages long. Why is the process taking so long ? Also I know I’m gonna need a waiver for my stress fractures , is that waiver hard to get approved ? Do I have a good shot at re joining or should I make a plan B ? I don’t want to get my hopes up

Thanks for the quick reply! Is it MEPS station specific on being backlogged or do the med reads go into a big pile somewhere?

Should only take a few days....I say again should because meps can occasionally get back logged with paperwork

So Meps covers certain areas for instance when I was in Montana it was 1 meps for the entire state and the people that review the documents review for all of the branchesSPC Josh Tharp
