I've heard the typical you all aren't infantry? But I'm curious to hear what you've heard people say.

Old drunk dude at a bar " I bet you could kill me with one finger, huh?"
Me "I an Engineer not Bruce Lee, so I would need to use 2 fingers"

Not sure if he knew I was joking, but he stopped talking to me after that. Mission accomplished

I'm Signal, so you'll have to wait until I get my soldering iron up to temp. After that, beware.

It amazes me how many people think if you are in the Air Force you fly a plane.

SSgt (Join to see) Anyone ever asks me what I fly I would tell them an FMQ-19, such a top secret aircraft that you won't find any pictures of it. It is the weather sensor at airfields we use for observations. Sounds way cooler than it actually is.

Those who truly got injured in Basic I feel worse for because they were so close to having a great experience like most of us. Sometimes things happen but if it was an "injury" when they realized it wasn't for them well let that speak for itself.

My brother was discharged from basic because of a pre-service injury. But I am proud of him because he did try.
