I am looking for some specific information regarding the Army Specialist uniform. In consulting all of the regulations, the information regarding "Specialist" is vague and not very clear. I have looked everywhere I believe I could possibly find that spells out how a Specialist uniform is supposed to be set up. Is there any written guidance anywhere specifically for the SPC ? The AR 670-1 & DA PAM 670-1, do not really talk about the SPC at all. They show a couple of figures but all the other ranks are the ones talked about. Can somebody point me to where anything that is written on how to wear the uniform of a SPC in a Dress Blue/ Class A? Most of the other SPCs I'm around do not even have a Dress Blue uniform yet. It is clearly different than the others.
There are some burning questions that need clarification in reference to this. I need to answer these questions and answer them correctly. Could anyone help me with this please?

Why do you think the wear is different for the SPC rank? You will follow the same guidelines that you had as a PVT, PV2 and PFC. If you get a lateral move to Corporal, then you will have to add stripes to your pants as other Officers (commissioned, non-commissioned, and warrant) do.

I am confused about your confusion here.

At this time I am working to "unconfuse" it. Please know that if there was the lateral move to Corporal, there wouldn't be any confusion because it is well covered and this scenario would have gone away. I am hoping that I made some sense in my inquiry in response with Colonel Mackay below as I have tried to "narrow" it down. I do understand that it would follow the same basic guidelines, but SPC doesn't appear to have shoulder marks , they appear to wear collar insignias (brights) I do understand about the rest of it however as far as being an NCO goes. I need to know about if this is what is being used at this time, are these presently authorized or not? When do you wear them, on what do you wear them on? I was asked a question about it. I presently do not know and needed to find out to answer the question correctly. Thank you for your response,
