As a military retiree, I’m now authorized to purchase federal retiree dental and vision insurance. I’ve figured out the “high” versuses “standard” (standard will be fine for my wife and me), but I’d like feedback on which one of the plans (companies) you would chose. My dentist takes all except the EPO one.

Thanks, in advance, for your comments. And have a great day!

We went with Delta for dental as they're accepted more universally. We had to dump Met as nobody took it where we moved to. By far the best vision has been VSP. Run the numbers on the VSP options. By the time you price out frames, lenses, progressive, coatings, etc. it was a no brainer to go with the better coverage. The difference in monthly cost was worth it vs. just getting BCDs.

We liked and went with Aetna because our dentist is in network for them. If I were doing a standard I would go with Geha.
