Thats awesome..... I remember the mortar platoon fellas.... yall were on 113's right? CPT Scribner was the CO when I got there... I forget who came after him

When I was there it was 1/4 FA BN. It was converting to something else when I left, but that was in 1991.

Yea it def seems like the name changed right before I got there and it changed back not long after I was gone

SSG(P) James J. Palmer IV aka "JP4" Ryan Callahan this is an example of how the search tool is clunky. You put in multiple variations of 5th Squadron 17th Cavalry Regiment (5-17 Cav, 5/17Cav, etc) multiple locations in South Korea...nothing comes up. Every other unit in the 17th Cav comes up, any unit with a 17 in it comes up, regardless of location. You go to people like @thomas lucken (tagging of members is selectively clunky) who you know were at that location, you see the unit in their about section in the profile, but that won't query.
