Hi All,
I retired from the Navy Reserves in 2008 and got a job working in the behavioral health field. I've been introduced to a new topic concerning well being - how emotional stress eats away at our physical health, but by being aware of ourselves 'emotionally' and 'physically', we can combat the detrimental effects of stress and improve our well-being... our happiness and our attitude.

Is this taught in any way in the active duty military today?

They are indeed taught in the Air Force, for the most part. I'm not sure about Army... and I only pick on them because I've had experiences with them (mostly active reserve) and it seems as though their NCO corps is severely lacking in such training.
