Joined in 1984 - Great Lakes company 102. Dropped from Nuke School, but volunteered subs. Sent to Hawaii in July '85 and took USS Barbel (SS-580) to Sasebo, Japan. Took an 'unexpected depth excursion' in 1989 and due to salt water damage and age, had to decom her.
Got off active duty in 1993 Reserves until 2008 - retired. Living in Phoenix now working as a Business Analyst.
