College students sign a petition to deport citizens for an illegal alien....what the hell is wrong wrong with the youth of this country? I am apart of this generation and I know if I did something like this my parents would sure teach me a lesson.....what are your thoughts everyone?

Half of them don't even know what they're signing. Hell I've seen women sign an anti suffrage petition. I think that was from Jimmy Kimmel. Danger comes from the ignorant masses.

My thought is that most people don't place a whole lot of value on something they perceive as having been given for free and college students tend to have a lot more empathy for people who come here in hope of a better life (even if they came illegally) than your average American because they themselves are (for the most part) also making sacrifices in the hope that those sacrifices will result in a better life for themselves.
I believe the solution is to better educate them on the sacrifices that were made so that they could be US citizens today. As for people coming here in search of better life, I think we owe them a better immigration system than the one we have today. A system without quotas or decades long legal immigration delays. We also need to crack down on the 10's of thousands of businesses who create the demand for illegal labor.

ok, sure but it's a one-way trip. If you're willing to give up your citizenship. You permanently lose upon deportation
