Interesting dialogue going on about this topic! Thanks for your contributions LTC (Join to see), 1SG (Join to see), SSgt Nicholas Sherwood, SSG Tim Everett, and SSG (Join to see).
I had hoped Dennis Rodman was a RallyPoint member so he could give his two cents!! However when I put the "@" symbol, his name didn't appear...I digress.

@Dennis Rodman is a fruitcake, and a North Korea sympathiser. He can buy a one-way ticket and I'd contribute toward his airfare.

Totally ridiculous and shameless. I do partially agree with 1SG (Join to see)'s assessment it was Sony who acquiesced to North Korea but the government is always still involved. Did someone forget the Constitution? Not you though, 1SG Healy, just a generality. I can't say as to what was acquired by NK but if it's digital copies of upcoming films then it does bring up the intellectual property issue as well as internet security. This should be a very alarming concern for all since many in the country, let alone the world, still have the poor mindset of getting something for nothing, especially by stealing it. Sadly, this will go on until people decide to stop thinking of themselves and expand their scope.

I'm done talking to a guy that downvotes people for disagreeing with him and calling him on his wild accusations that have no merit or explanation.

No, SSg Everett. I'm not down-voting you for disagreeing with me. I am down-voting you for your blatant and dishonest arrogance.

SSG Andres Redondo, regarding this whole issue, I'm not sure all the facts are in and I expect that a lot of assumptions are being made. (And please note I got your name right this time.) ;)
Assumption: NK was behind the attack on Sony. (Well it was an assumption. Today the FBI says NK was the culprit.)
Assumption: The US had something to do with Sony's capitulation. Highly unlikely. First, if someone tried to force Sony to capitulate, likely someone at Sony would have squealed like a stuck pig. Second, Sony is a Japanese company, even if they have a US subsidiary. You don't think Sony's decision was made here and not Sony corporate HQ, do you?
Assumption: The Constitution/1A was violated. See above.
Assumption: Sony caving in to NK makes the U.S. look weak. And it does, as long as everyone is squealing like a stuck pig about it. Personally I find it laughable that NK turned their elite hacker squad on us and their aim was so poor they took out a Japanese company.
Assumption: Someone caved and that's the end of it. Maybe. Maybe not. If you were Baby Kim, would you bet that someone in the black ops area wasn't preparing a spanking for you of epic proportions?
Why did Sony capitulate? My OPINION is that Sony looked at the lawsuit that two former employees filed over loss of their personal data, multiplied that by the number of people filing similar lawsuits in the case of another 911, and voted with their wallets. I don't like it, but it might have been the smart move, given how lawsuit-crazy we are here in the U.S.
Finally, in my OPINION, you should tone down the downchecks. This is a discussion base. No one has to fully answer everything you or anyone else says. No one is required to fully understand your argument before posting an opinion. I have several times seen the, "you didn't take the time to read my posting", argument, and it often means, "If you weren't an idiot, you'd agree with what I wrote. Since you don't agree, and I can't call you an idiot, you must not understand, so read it again."
P.S. I do strongly disagree with any concessions/appeasement made to NK, Cuba, Viet Nam, Iran, whatever bozo banana republic the PC loonies thinks needs a pat on the head for "standing up" to us. I hope people will also remember that an egomaniac wants attention. The more you give Baby Kim, the more he "won." Deny him his prize. Egomaniacs hate to be laughed at.

I'm not sure exactly how the NK "incident" was a diplomatic activity... but as far as Cuba is concerned, it's long overdue.
Namely, the fact that Cuba has a far superior healthcare system should make reducing travel restrictions beneficial for U.S. citizens, as well as lessening the trade restrictions.
There are those who object just from the premise that "Communism/Socialism" (without knowing the difference between the two) are four-letter words... but lets be honest: if the U.S. only dealt with "good countries", we'd have no one to talk to.
