Which is an overall better MOS, 62A or 42A (traveling, future, money, etc.)?

That is a very tough question to answer: kind of like: "Which is better, apples or going to a movie?" The answer depends entirely on you. If you like being outdoors working on equipment and getting your hands dirty then you should go 62A. If you prefer to sit at a desk and push papers, then its 42A all the way. The two MOS's are as different as chalk and cheese.
If you're thinking of signing up, take a very close look at the MOS duty descriptions and imagine yourself doing the work -- but not just for these two MOS's -- spread your attention farther afield and look at everything your ASVAB score qualifies you for. Don't let the recruiter's quotas push you down a path you will be ill suited for. Choose something you like. It will make your enlistment a pleasure as opposed to something you regret the rest of your life.
I would also advise you to not let any enlistment bonuses sway your decision but that may be asking too much.
In any case, you're the one who will have to live with your decision so choose wisely.
