I'll be sitting at 3 years left when I want to put a recruiter packet in. I know you have to have 3 years 6 months TIS left in order to be a recruiter. Just want to know if it's possible for me to extend to meat that 3 years 6 months TIS mark. Also a caveat question, is it possible to end your career as a recruiter? I have heard various responses saying I need to go back to the RA for 2 years after I have done my recruiting duty.

The SRR will be incurred at the time of your school date, at which point - you will be given an option of extension or re enlistment. best place to get great answers is your retention NCO - they will have the current MilPer messages, and what requirements for an extension as opposed to a re enlistment, are. great that you are planning your career, not many plan ahead and just go day by day - good luck in your endeavors.

SSG (Join to see) WTF ! Lead the way! A Recruiter who just took a burst of six would be a great example!

Ya I know but I am going to fort hood next April. That’s what I re enlisted for. So I can’t PCS again until April 2021. Obviously quite a ways away but I am just trying to plan out the next 6 years of my career.

SSG (Join to see) That you are planning your career is good news! Career planning is a vital part of life. Have you sought a professional consoling sp rather than your chain of command and guardhouse lawyers?
