For instance, when I was in the Army, I was assigned to the following units:
- Berlin Brigade, West Berlin
- United States Army Field Station Berlin (USAFSB), West Berlin
- CONUS Military Intelligence Group, Ft Meade, Maryland
I was also assigned to live at one installation in Berlin:
- Andrews Barracks, West Berlin
Granted, these units don't exist anymore, BUT! I haven't found these on RallyPoint.
And for that matter, what about individual National Guard units (Army and Air)? I was assigned to the following:
- 231st Combat Communications Squadron (deactivated), DCANG, Andrews AFB
- 263rd Combat Communications Squadron, NCANG, New London Air National Guard Base, New London, NC
- 123rd Air Control Squadron, OHANG, Blue Ash Air National Guard Station, Blue Ash, OH
I think it would be a lot easier to get new RallyPoint members if it was easier to add individual units, but that's just my say.

"I was told essentially that if is not a major or current unit, it ain't going to happen.."
As explained to me by our community manager, SSG Carlos Madden
It was a reasoned decision to only list a unit as it exists currently, not as it has been named in the past. Or for that matter a unit a unit that has been deactivated. The reason are several, but it was done with consideration and decision, its not an oversight.
If a current unit with SM assigned is not represented as an option to select, that is something I think RP management can address.
Carlos will explain further, but i dont remember hearing or reading there is a unit size requirement.

SSG Jon Barnes no actually I was simply clarifying and addressing a question
Had I been speaking specifically to you I would’ve addressed the response to you personally like this one.
Thanks for your concern and interest in the community have a great night
