"All Fair in Love and War"

I think that the origin of the saying tied "love and war" as the same thing comparing love to war...all that mushy stuff.  I am sure that most of us can relate to that in one context or another.

When talking about what is "fair" in actual war, that discussion can go many different ways.  Fair can mean a great many things depending on the context and whether or not you are on the giving or receiving side of "fair."
