I'm getting an admin separation, but they said I could still reenlist after a couple months. Is this bad?

is this a honorable discharge? should I be worried about transitioning back into civilian life?, is that going to look bad in my record? and would I still get benefits? im really worried

Your discharge will be characterized and presented to you. Since SGM Erik Marquez hasn't chimed in, get off RP and go to JAG.....TDS.
Look at Chapter 4 of AR601-210 that covers enlistments.
Look at AR635-200 Active Duty Enlisted Administrative Separations. Find your chapter and read. Also look at the process. None of this is hidden or privileged information.
If it is medical, look at 635-40.
If this is an IET separation, look at 635-200.
Anytime you are being separated and it is not in conjunction with your ETS, it ain't great. It depends on characterization of your discharge. There are some circumstances where a general discharge may be converted to an honorable through an appeal process after 6 months. Hence why it is important to see TDS and find that out as it applies to your exact situation.

PVT(P) (Join to see) As suggested, Stop posting and go see the local Trial defense Services (TDS) But before that, read all you can on the separation process, benefits and restrictions of each possible separation variable.
TDS will answer your questions,...But that's the point you have to have questions...
If you walk in cold and say Help me,,, You will get seated in front of a Tv and played a video that describes the separation process and told have a nice day.
You need to ask a lot of "What can happen if" "What does THAT or THIS mean?" type questions,,,
So read the regs suggested above, write down anything part with a page, pargrape note of anything you do not understand. Anything that sias "May" or "Can be" is a question for you to ask about. So "May be seperated" might be asked as, Who deiced if I will be seperated?> What is required for the person to decide I will be seperated? that kind of stuff is what TDS can help with...but again, you have to ask the questions.

It really all does depend on that...was it legal issues, overweight, pt failure, etc?

SSG(P) Loris Metzinger - I was diagnosed with major depression disorder, and I said I wanted to switch reserves because I thought that would help me, but they said I couldn't break my active duty contract so they said they were going to give me an admin discharge but ill be able to reenlist if I want to the reserves.

This shouldn’t be a negative reflection on your record. As far as benefits goes, it depends how much time in service you have. You should keep such things as the GI Bill and VA Loan, but you probably won’t be getting any type of medical benefits afterwards unless you’re getting a medical discharge. Have you gone to behavioral health to talk to a doctor and have all of this recorded? That can help you greatly in the long run. I wouldn’t be worried though, the Army isn’t going to punish you for having such issues. I hope everything works out for you and that you are able to transition smoothly. Remember, you always have your battle buddies to reach out to, and a great community here. Just because you’re getting out doesn’t mean that you can’t stay active on Rally Point and other military resources. Best of luck to you.

If you have MDD and you are being separated for that condition, there are a lot of factors involved and you should definitely be working with JAG. If I'm not mistaken, you will need to be stable with your medications for at least a year before you could even potentially enlist again. Good luck.
