1. Why? 2. It's 3 weeks-normally what the deal?. 3- It's voluntary- you have to show up, but you can refuse to volunteer on day 1. 4. You more than likely will regret it down the road. because of what it will appear as. 5. Why in the hell did you ask for it and now want to waste a school slot?

Voluntary - an inclusive want, need to belong to something, a Brotherhood. Sounds as though armchair warriors have been feeding you bull, if not, don’t think you have what it takes? Think again. How many countless others had second thoughts yet faced whatever demons or ridicule. Listen if a few weeks is too much to dedicate yourself to physical fitness and the ability to be not only an individual, but part of an elite team, then you wouldn’t have wanted to volunteer in the first place. There was a spark, don’t let it go out. There’s nothing more better than walking around with jump wings on your chest screaming out to the world, Yeah, okay, I did it, I’m one of the best trained and dedicated soldiers my nation has to offer. Why settle for second? Airborne!

Don't do it. It's good training and later down the road you'll find the slots don't come easy.

If you want to make the Army a career, dropping airborne would be a mistake. It will open up so many more great assignments for you.
When I was in Germany I had a soldier that quit airborne school on the first day and it also got his special forces group support orders deleted and reassigned. He expressed his regret for doing that.

I know someone who quit Airborne. She was supposed to go to Bragg, but then got reassigned to Hood. She regretted it.

You are on the spot brother I was there and never quit anything they threw at me but also made me a survivor. I ended up doing Country Level Intel Europe and Counter Terrorism. And I have the scars and injuries, but I wear them like a badge not ashamed of them.
