Why did my VA claim go from "Preparation for Decision" to "Review of Evidence" (no new evidence was requested or submitted)?

They review everything. In many cases they try to find something to deny your claim. Things have gotten harder under the Trump Administration. Do not forget he was a “draft dodger”. He really has no idea what vets go thru especially those who have deployed more than once.

I don't know where you get the assumption that under "Trump", things have got worse. I have personally seen movement, and award to Veterans here in San Antonio within the last 10 months. So do me, and I'm sure, a lot others a favor, keep your supposed political views to yourself. USAF Veteran 79 - 00

Update: Claim went back to gathering of evidence. Was told that a medical opinion is needed from the doctor that did my C&P. Estimated Completion date went from 02/01/18-03/05/18 to 04/08/2018 - 06/09/2018

Had that happen to me. I found out the DAV and VA doctor FOUND new information and added it to my claim without me knowing. It was a good thing too cause they found a new injury in the records that WAS Service Connected and I am getting treatments for it now.

I just got my appeal decision and waiting on the status of adding my 'Partner' to the claim...let me clarify that with my 'partner' is a Lab/Boxer Service Dog. I just got him a couple weeks before Christmas and we are becoming a team and classes start this week for both of us. My claim went through alot of people and one found a Service injury that was ignored and not on my claim and I told them about it and when I was put in the ER for it, the doctors looked, found what I was telling them and got things right and now my Service Dog/partner needs to be added into the mix so...long to short-paperwork amending and updating.
