Seems to me that if you are afraid of failure then maybe you should attend some school that will be a bit easier. I'm not sure how jump school operates today, but I do know that when I went through in 1970 it was not for the faint or weak of heart. It wasn't curtailed to the feminine side either. The other side of that coin is how bad do you want to wear those wings, and how much are you willing to sacrifice for them?

CPT (Join to see)
SSG (Join to see) - The maxima culpa way to fail is to refuse a jump. Back in the day your TA 50 was already turned in and your kit packed before you even returned to the withering stare of the commandant or the Top.

SGT Daniel Rocco Ames
MSG Dan Castaneda I went to Airborne school with a group from OSUT and 2 failed the PT test, but a good buddy of mine was recycled because he didn't shine his boots or put on a coean uniform after gorilla drills. I also saw recycles for moving to the chow hall too slowly or trying to skip the pull up bars prior to entering the chow hall or barracks. All were recycled except the PT failures who refused to recycle. I don't see how he was sent home. Everyone I know was eother recycled or quit if they didn't pass their first time through.

If you want airborne get up on your PT skills. Being at Bragg and not being airborne is like being at Campbell and not being air assault. You gotta want it.
