Regarding customs and courtesies, what can I expect from my first active duty assignment at Fort Knox?

I am prior Marine Corps but have done ARNG, and AR, but this will be first time with the AD component

What specifically are you asking about customs and courtesies? They don't change from different services/components.

Its Just like anything else, anywhere you go. Do the right thing, 100% by the regulation, and get a feel for the climate in your new unit. I was in your position a few months ago. I expected a much more strict environment in my new unit, but found out the Regular Army unit I went to was almost as laid back as the Guard unit I just left.

Just start off snapping to the proper position and using the proper address until you get a feel for exactly how your new unit operates. Each one is different. I would think your unit at Knox would be pretty laid back as well, but I could be wrong.

It's all the same shit, just a different taste.
