Will being in the delayed entry program change my retirement date? Signed my first contract into the DEP 18 March 1999 but went to basic on 15 July 1999. My Diems date is 15 July 99 which I never got corrected but have my original contact still. I've read so many mixed answers on the web, just seeing if anyone has any "Real" experience with this since retirement is only 2 years or less away

DEP is not creditable for retirement, your 20 year mark will be in July, but retirement date will be the end of the month.
PEBD as someone else mentioned is only used for Reserve retirement.
Your DIEMS will only come into play to determine which retirement plan you're eligible for.

Thanks I appreciate it. Just trying to get it all understood for this last little bit I have. Thanks for the response.

You'll have 20 "good" years toward retirement 17MAR2019, but that will only get you a reserve-component retirement. Need the 7300 (or so, give or take a few leap years) active duty points to have that retirement and draw your pension right away. Enjoy your last few years!

Thanks Sir, I'll try my best. Asked branch for the east coast for my last assignment and they sent me to JBLM. So kinda a sour taste in my mouth for the last couple. Guess we will see how I like it here.

yes. The clock starts when you hit basic, not sign the contract.
