im having issues trying to convince my wife to move so we will have a better chance at finding work. anybody else come across this?

No but you need to show her the jobs in other states, that way she knows they are there and not just moving

I have done this and even had job offers but could not take them because she refused to move. I'm just at a loss here being unemployed with a family.

I lived in Illinois for 30 years before I could get my wife to leave that state. Started working on her year 1 to move to Florida. I finally told her I was moving to Jacksonville Florida and she could come if she wanted she said yes and now says why didn't we do this a long time ago . if you are serious about moving put your foot down and let her know what you think and show her the upside to where you want to move. She is probable scared of the unknown and moving away from family and friends let her know you will take care of her and things should work out. Good Luck!

Yes.  In my case, separation followed by divorce was the answer. That's the ultimate atomic bomb, but sometimes the only COA available
