It depends on what your interest are. Having a degree plus leadership experience goes a long way, but not far enough. If you are going into Human Resources, for example, you'll want all the certifications that go with that field. Safety (OSHA) is a good one but you need either a degree or lots of training and an OSHA 30 card, at least. But again you need certifications and what not. SO you really need to research what career field you are looking for and at what level you wish to start. Often even entry level jobs have set requirements anymore.
What are you wanting to be when you take the next step?

Thank you for the responses gentleman! I was mostly looking for which schools in in general will appeal to any employer, such as how I was thinking more along the lines of how SHARP, EO, and MRT would benefit those in HR or management roles. However, your responses remind me that I have a lot of hard thinking to do before I transition to retirement regarding what I want to be when I grow up.
I am interested in counseling and have given thought into continuing my education with a Masters in Social Work, either to work at the VA or private practice. However, due to the clinical hours involved in that graduate degree I will most likely have to finish it after I retire. Lately I have been questioning this path though, and have begun considering application to an MBA program.

The Army Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification program is a good program. Of course, it depends on what industry or field you are going into.
