I don't know of anything Special here in Kansas City, I'm sure there is something being the HQ of the VFW but I've been out of the loop for a while. "What does it Mean to You" It's a Great Giggle thinking about 3 guys Dr Samuel Prescott, William Dawes (Great Grandpa) and Paul Revere rushing off into the Night an Damn if these 3 guys didn't Run into a British Roadblock. Bad Luck. Revere was Arrested, Prescott Escaped on His Horse and somehow Grandpa thru a Little Trickery Escaped the British Soldiers.

While Paul Revere rode into history on April 18, 1775, his fellow rider, William Dawes, galloped into undeserved oblivion.

While I cannot claim the heritage of PO1 Nagel, SN Vivien Roman-Hampton, I'm very much aware of Patriot's Day. There are no celebrations in North Carolina that I am aware of. But as a member of the Sons of the American Revolution, it is certainly an event that falls within our family calendar. Thanks for posting this.

Accurately retranscribed from an audio recording of the original speech. (Most online versions of this speech are faulty, and/or omit sections.)

My First relatives came to Massachusetts from Shropshire England in 1640 to Sudbury, Massachusetts. My Mother grew up in Lexington and Patriots day is a big holiday there.
