It was never 100% clear to me on the so what of APICS other than networking. I have the DML for SOLE. It seems as much a whoopie! As any of the others. Both of these are kind of meh compared to a PE, which I am working on now.

Sir,
Networking is 100% true because most of the local chapters have your hiring manager or senior supply person in those groups which could help your resume, get to the top of the pile. We are just looking for what the Logistical Soldier is missing when they leave the service and what APICS can offer them.

Just need to know if APICS was able to offer the SM some type of certification that could lead to a better civilian jobs would you be interested in it? Also, Is there anything that they can offer to assist with the transition?

How does this relate to Lean Six sigma or Society of Logistics Enterprise?

Basically, APICS is the industry standard when it comes to certifications in Supply Cbain, Logistics and Inventory. Most of the top companies require a certification from this Organization. In an effort to better help the SM they are looking at a way to better assist us when it comes to recognizable certs in the civilian sector. So, I'm looking for thoughts, concerns and gripes to take back.

SSG Derrick,
I have been apart of this Organization for 2 years and I was thinking about getting out so I made some legit civilian contacts. They explained to me how important it is to have one of those certs to be considered for the middle management and up type jobs that I was looking at. I know for a fact that it is better than SOLE. Look at the requirements for Supply Chain Manager or Logistic Manager which is equal to a BN S4 and see the type of Certs needed.
