Where can I find a regulation covering conditional release (for active duty to go into ROTC)?

Trying to find the Active Duty regulation and more information on conditional release. AR 135-178 is geared toward Guard and Reserve. Apparantly you can, once accepted into the ROTC program, request a conditional release if you are not applying to the Green-to-gold scholarship program.

Thank you Colonel..great advice, as a former AROTC Scholarship Enrollment Administrator at UT Austin, the regs and packet requirements do change, so contacting your hosting ROTC unit is great advice also check out Military ROTC Center | Military.com, they have a really good breakdown of the requirements and benefits of each program.

I know it has been a couple of years, but did you ever get any update on this? I am trying to do the same thing.
