Do you really want to be a field grade officer wearing skinny jeans and the latest top so you can fit in with the 22 year old LTs. No thanks. I will say I just came from 1st Group and most of the field grades where very big about ensuring people were wearing the right civilian clothes when we were going into other countries as certain clothes do make you a target.

I brought this up that 45 men showing up at an airport in Khanki pants and button up shirts says SF unit all day long. As a support guy as was blown off. If you truly want to blend it you need to be in crappy jeans and a t-shirt of the like. No one would think it would be an operator. I am sure the true ops are different than a joint exercise.

Clothes also can't hide that those 45 dudes showing up are all in pretty damn good shape....
And black polos, khaki pants and sunglasses screams "Secret Squirrel" all day long...

Generally, I recognize that I have little fashion sense. When I'm out and about in public, my wife has a pretty big say in what I'm wearing. Thankfully, she has a good eye for fashion and isn't caught up in the "Army" world. She knows how to make me look good.
