Anyone plan on getting the iPhone 6? With the rumor of the 4.7 and 5.5 inch phone, I wonder how many might switch from Android. Samsung is coming out with the Galaxy Alpha in order to combat the iPhone 6 by using a metal frame that copies the iPhone 5s design bit.

I have been beta testing OS8 since beta 1 and quite impressed with it. I can't wait to see what the watch and home kit will bring. Also the rumors of the NFC technology would be a game changer for mobile payments if introduced. I know to combat this, Google has copied the health center and is introducing an Android L in order to clone Apple's home kit. Anyways, the more competition between the two, the better.

(yes, I favor apple, but been an android user 2 years in the past and 4 years with the crappy Windows PDA tech back in the day)

For the record, I obtained the iPhone 6 4.7inch. (the 6 + was just to big)
I am loving it....! I had android several years ago, progressed up through 4, 4s, 5, 5s and now 6.

I'm still a pc guy but for mobility in small packages, I think iPhone wins right now.

Went all out. They are great phones. IOS 8.02 came out and fixed the minor issues.

Good post, I agree. At times I wish I had gotten the 6+ but pretty happy with the 6.

Dang. I recently threw away my old TI-55 calculator belt holster (I was a chick magnet back in the day) and I bet it would've held one of the new iPhones...

When I was in uniform, being on duty was made much more miserable by carrying a cell phone. That negative association has followed me into retirement, and I avoid lugging them around.

I'm only going to be ready to "upgrade" when a cell phone completely replaces my wallet: including cash, military ID, driver's license, credit cards... and even my library card. With a battery that lasts for at least a week!

I had an iPhone 4 for 3.5 years and it has been by far the sturdiest phone I have ever used. I did recently upgrade to the iPhone 5s (before the 6 came out) and I like it so far. I'll probably upgrade to the iPhone 9 when the time comes if this one holds up the same, unless I come to my senses and ditch smartphones all together and get back to actually living a life in the real world.
