I was recently flagged for not doing online SHARP and Accident Avoidance courses. What are some things you have been flagged for?

1. If you're flagged you are not promotable.
2. A PFC does not attain a promotable status in any recognizable way.
3. Such training transgressions are a leadership issue. I'm fairly certain your story is probably not fully complete. So I throw the BS flag.

That (P) indicator is displayed by RallyPoint, based on a checkbox the individual user makes. That PFC may very well have been told he's getting his SPC rank soon, he may even have orders (I doubt it). It doesn't meet the definition of 'Promotable' as defined by the Army.

Soooooo, you are a PFC Promotable.......yet you were recently flagged? This is what I will start with: If you are currently flagged then you are no longer promotable as being promotable is a favorable action and Flags CEASE favorable actions. Or, even if you were flagged and then the flag was lifted after the actions were corrected....you still wouldn't have that "P" as the Flag would wipe it away. Now for the next part: What was the exact reasoning that was placed on the Flag? I just looked over DA Form 268 and am honestly curious as to what code they used for this flag? I am also curious as to how you were flagged for not completing this training? The reason why I ask is that, yes, this training is mandatory, and the Soldiers should be given a decent amount of time to complete it. For example, you are informed at BTA at first formation that Saturday that you have to complete this training prior to the start of the following months BTA. So, I ask....how much time were you given to complete this training? Was any kind of corrective training/action taken first before this flagging action(s)?

Lastly: You are never promotable as a PFC. In fact, you are never promoted from E-1 to E-4. You are advanced by a DA 4187. The first promotion orders you will see is when you get promoted to SGT.

I never really paid attention to the P that was beside my rank I didn't really notice it until now. Also they told me to do it before drill but working from 8-5 then coming home and doing college homework takes time away from that. I was supposed to do it during drill and that's what they planned on but the computers in the building wouldn't accept my cac card.

SPC (Join to see) - Honestly, I can't buy that argument. I'm the Detachment Sergeant for my Reserve unit. I am constantly having to do extra Army work and training outside of BTA. I work 8-5 Mon-Fri. I have a wife and 2 daughters. If I can find the time to get my required training done, you can. Also, if you KNOW the computers in your building won't accept your CAC....then chances are your ARAMP account is not up to date (which is a failure on your Leadership and you), which means you have NO CHOICE but to complete this training outside of BTA.
