I find that as a veteran I have a hard time writing exact units,
Example: I was in HHC 1/3 ACR in Ft Bliss, but it shows as something different
as shown in the image I posted.
kind of makes it hard for me to appear honest when the unit I served with has moved locations to some other state since my time.
Much worse is if current members assume I was in their unit in the new location :)
I thought I post this to see if any one seen the same thing.
This is not a report to RP, rather just a general thing I thought I mention.
was wondering how todays ARMY SM feel about this....

The two companies I commanded no longer exist, guess I was the black widow. I clicked on the feedback tab after looking at the FAQ section. I laid out the unit chain, example: 95 Maint CO TMDE, Aviation and Missile Command, AMC at Redstone arsenal, al. Also told them which shoulder sleeve insignia to put with it. RP staff fixed it in 24 hrs.

That is a huge problem because as I do research on old units for Together We Served, I have to go to extreme measures it seems to find out where Det 2, 31WS is and so on.

I also have a unit page on TWS that I am reasonable for and it is very difficult keeping everything updated. The perfect example would be that I just arrived to 508th Trans Co, 262nd Quartermaster Battalion, 23rd Quartermaster Brigade at Fort Lee. When I tried to search for it I could not find it because we were still listed as being under 71st Transportation Battalion located at Fort Eustis. I have been here for 6 months now and we just switched to 266th Quartermaster Battalion.

SSG Woodard -With all these changes, it is good that someone can record these histories. I am going to do more with my dad's site on TWS. I am also looking forward to report on the passing of our brothers and sisters in arms.

1SG Rink.. I am open to any ideas. Like a Ancestry.com for veterans and the families. Getting stories for veterans that are elderly so their stories are not lost.

Sadly one of our veterans is dying as we speak. Talked to him this morning and is going in to hospice. Last night I also found out this girl I dated died of cancer. Plus a couple more from my unit in Germany. wow
