Anyone know how things are at K16 Airbase in South Korea?

Really good gym and sports field and that area of seoul is really growing. The jobs are good there and it is a more relazed environment. Everyone i knew there loved it.

K16 is a small base on the outskirts of Seoul. Not very big, has a small mini-PX/food court. Can't speak on the barracks. Nice thing is downtown Seoul and Yongsan is a 30 minute (depending on traffic) shuttle bus ride away.

SGT Thomas Lucken - I was there in 84 the EM club was nice but I was allowed to go in the O club until the finished the EM club.

in 84 it was a conex hut PX no food court only had a nice little Korea restaurant behind the em barracks for the KATUSA's but Americans were allowed to eat awesome friend rice

Back when I was there from 2001-2002, my unit was the 1-52nd Aviation Bgde. Now, I hear it is run by 2-2 Inf. As a result, my understanding is that they treat all of the aviation soldiers like grunts.

Not at all true, I've been here now almost 10 months. Best base to be at in Korea and best unit I've been a part of. 2-2 AHB. It's all aviation on base Besides fuelers and S shops
