Bio

After the army, I was a government contractor working on UH-60 Blackhawks for Dyncorp and Lear Siegler. I became the PA state supervisor for both Lear Siegler locations in the state. I have since moved beyond aviation and am now inspecting fire trucks.

Military Experiences

Dec 2002 - Sep 2003
1st MED BDE
Admin Bitch
I worked in the capacity of a 71L while undergoing the Medical Boards. I filled out requests, filed personnel records, and assisted soldiers with adminitrative issues pertaining to MEDDAC.
Jan 2001 - Sep 2002
1-52 AV
UH-60 Crewchief
I was a crewchief on board a UH-60 Blackhawk in A Co., 1-52 AVN. We were the air assault unit at K-16. We trained with ROK Marines and soldiers in air assault operations. We flew near the DMZ on RED CATCHER missions. I was responsible for the maintenance of my aircraft and acted as the unit armorer. I maintained an arsenal of M9s, M4s, M16s, and M60Ds.
Apr 1999 - Jan 2001
UH-60 Crewchief
I was a crewchief on a UH-60 Blackhawk for the 507th Medical Co. MEDEVAC. I maintained the aircraft and assisted the medic on training and actual missions. We flew in support of the MAST operations around Fort Hood, as well as emergency medevacs on post. We worked shifs to ensure the primary medevac aircraft was manned 24 hours a day and responded to calls within 5 minutes of the call.

Deployments

(7 months)
Nov 2000
JRTC
We trained as a medevac unit in the imaginary hostile area that served as the backdrop of the "war" we were involved in. My aircraft got "destroyed" while at the field hospital during a "mortar attack" and I finished out the training exercise in defense of the field hospital until we were "rescued" by another aircraft from my unit.
Jan 2000 - Jun 2000
Saudi
Saudi Arabia
I was a MEDEVAC crewchief on board a UH-60 Blackhawk in support of Operation Southern Watch, which enforced the southern "No-Fly" Zone in Iraq. We were responsible for search and rescue operations for downed pilots, and any other medevac operations necessary in the AO.
