My father was a career Naval Officer who came up through the ranks. He was very proud of me when I went to West Point (USMA Class of 75) but wasn't sure on what side of the field he should sit during the game, so he left it up to me. I always got him tickets for the end zone! He rests for the ages now at the National Cemetery in Pensacola, but I'm sure he and all the other Vets will be watching from their end zone there.

FYI, My father retired as a LCDR (he was an LDO, or "Mustang"), but always told me the proudest day of his military career was the day he made Chief. To this day I wear the silver chain and religious medallion he wore in WWII, and have a small, blue, steel-plated bible he carried over his heart while a gunner on a B24. Whoever wins on Saturday; we all win!
Seriously, this is likely to be a stomping, and not in the Army's favor.
