My first unit is strictly Route Clearance. I was told by an NCO if I PCS I will always be put in Route Clearance PLT/Co. How true is this?

That is not necessarily true, it depends on the unit you PCS to and the mission that that unit has.

Thanks for the info sergeant. I initially wanted to go 11B. I thrive on breaching and clearing rooms. I was told I would do that + explosives as a 12B. Now I'm doing the complete opposite in a RC Co. Should I reclass to 11b when the time comes?

PV2 (Join to see) - if you truly desire to be an 11B then yes I would recommend reclassing when the time comes! Best of luck with whatever you choose to do!

Anytime anyone says "always" ,"all" or "Every", you can count on it being BS! Where you end up depends on what your gaining units mission is and what sections they need your MOS in.

Not true at all doesn't make any sense. You go where the Army needs you and will be trained to accomplish whatever mission they need you to perform.
